Angela has been extensively trained in dance styles from many teachers and professional dancers across the country in her nearly 30 years of dancing. Beginning at age 3 with the Yackel Dance Studio in the Twin Cities, Angela became a national competitor soon after. She danced with studios such as Larkin and Bonnie Haney, with whom both had professional dancers turn teachers who were in national and international ballet companies. She also was captain of her high school and college dance teams for many years. Angela came to Dance Worx with experience teaching and choreographing Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Irish, Dance Team (Kick, Pom, Jazz, and Funk), and various Ballroom dance styles. Angela received many scholarship and further teaching opportunities, but after an injury instead felt lead to move on to college. While still a student, Angela adeptly continued to teach and choreograph for the University of Minnesota Moorhead both in the theater department and the dance team and at private studios in the Fargo/Moorhead and Twin Cities areas.

As a graduate of University of Minnesota Moorhead, Angela earned a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Dance and another in Business Administration. Achieving various fitness certifications, she has designed healthy lifestyle, injury recovery, and sport specific fitness programs through Sanford Power Center, SportsCenter, LifeTime Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, and several YMCAs across the country. She skillfully trained all types, young to old, novice through expert, and those with serious medical conditions. Angela partnered with FreeMotion Fitness, Inc to create training and safety protocols to use with their equipment, both FreeMotion and Nautilus brands, for their fitness trainers, sales, and marketing staffs nationwide. Her written and visual work on fitness has been published in regional magazine articles and national pamphlets, posters, and booklets.

Taking several years off to get married and have children, Angela was elated to return in the area she was most fervent for. Expertly combining her knowledge of the human body and dance, Angela specializes in challenging students to perfect their technique and improve their strength, balance, flexibility and artistry along with character development. She is eager to share her experience and passion with students of all ages and abilities.
